Representation matters. 2020 has proved how important representation is in politics. Regardless of one’s political leaning and affiliation, it is undeniable that President Elect Joe Biden’s Vice President Kamala Harris checks a lot of boxes that were left unchecked for too long in this nation’s history.

@kamalaharris is covering many firsts. She is the first ever woman, first daughter of immigrants, first Black person, and first person of South Asian descent to be #VicePresident.

And, her spouse @douglasemhoff is the first Jewish spouse of a President or Vice President, and the first male spouse of a Vice President!
